This is where Notepad can compete with any program that has a lot of unnecessary features for the user.
In addition, I personally use “Notepad” as a means of resetting text properties. So, if you copy something from a browser page, it puts not only the text but also its font, size, color, etc. on the clipboard. This means that if you paste it somewhere else, the settings will be moved with it and you will have to spend time on its manual correction. However, if you copy the text from the browser to Notepad and then from there to the endpoint, all the formatting settings will be reset and the pasted text will match the parameters of the document being edited. In my opinion this is very convenient, so I have this simple text editor open almost always.
And of course we should not forget that, thanks to the fact that the program is not bound to perform a single task, Notepad can be used not only as a text editor, but also as a tool for changing file extensions and for creating files. To do this, all you have to do is specify the necessary value when saving it.
So is it worth using?
As you can see, despite the fact that the program “Notepad” is not remarkable for a particularly large number of functions, you can and should even use it, because in the first place it is a text editor for creating elementary records, and in the second it is a tool for performing tasks that are quite problematic to perform using more advanced programs.
